Ryan Jannenga

Founder & CEO

"Transforming wisdom into wealth with heart-centered business

strategies."

Ryan has led over 70 retreats around the world, on land and sea, while also sailing thousands of miles as a professional yacht captain. His passion for creating meaningful experiences shows up in every detail, whether he's guiding a group through morning yoga or charting a course to an island hideaway. Over the years, he’s worked with incredible teams, managed boutique retreat centers, and built a life around adventure, wellness, and connection. What started as a love for travel and transformation naturally grew into a bigger vision.

That vision became Book Wellness Retreats, a platform built to support other retreat leaders and make it easier for people to find retreats that really speak to them. Through it all, Ryan’s mission is simple: help more people feel alive, aligned, and inspired.

Duke

Chief Happiness Officer

"Bringing joy, tail wags, and unconditional love to every team meeting."

Duke is our beloved Australian Shepherd and the heart of our office wellness program. With a tail that wags faster than our WiFi and a sixth sense for when someone needs a cuddle, Duke takes his job very seriously, especially the part about mandatory outdoor breaks and reminding everyone that ball is life. He’s also our unofficial Head of Security, ensuring that every delivery person is greeted with a bark that says, “I see you, but I’ll allow it.”

When he’s not patrolling the office or herding unsuspecting team members into meetings, Duke enjoys strategic sunspot naps, snack surveillance, and high-speed zoomies during brainstorming sessions. He brings the perfect blend of Aussie energy, wisdom, and comic relief to our workday, and we wouldn’t get anything done without him (because he’d probably sit on our laptops).
